Giving is an important aspect of being a Christian and an opportunity to give is provided on the Lord's Day ( 1 Corinthians 16 :2 ). How much someone gives is between him and God. Every gift is a perfect gift from above and comes down from the father of lights ( James 1 :17 ). God never asks us to give more than we can. We are not really giving if we just give what is left over. Our giving should be planned. Jesus said: But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly ( Mathew 6:3,4 ). The Lord commands and expects EACH member to contribute in the same manner and degreeas God has prospered him. This is where the equity in giving is to be found, and not necessarily in the amount each one gives.
We as Christians must always learn what it means to " walk by faith" and not by what people of the world do "walk by sight".
God Bless you All.
